Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the current information? Have you ever felt bored with the information that appears on social media in all its forms? Have you ever realized that it turns out that there is a lot of waste information that we don't really need to consume, but we still consume it continuously?
Why I made this title with the name of the information diet is because I often have experiences where I consciously and unconsciously get overwhelmed by the information I get. So..... it's not only the body or the body that can diet, the information we get is also a good idea to go on a diet.
Too influenced by what I see, too dense with the information I receive. And so crowded, I easily lose focus. Because when I received one piece of information, this information had come with a new kind. And I think this is the beginning of my saturation point and I'm tired with most of the current information.
I understand very well that our brains and minds need to be filled, but on the one hand I see that with this much information our brains will be healthier, smarter and smarter? Does the consumption of accumulated information, our memory will increasingly have a good memory and absorption? Can this kind of thing make our thinking power become multitasking?
The tsunami of information makes us have to be selective or very literate with what information we need. We are invited to be aware of when we enter this information and how we should use that information. Because, sometimes there are times when we play on social media, not because we want to, you know, but because it's okay to be lazy and lazy. Is there the same?
What is the reason or what is the underlying reason that we need an information diet? the short answer is that because our minds, must need a break. Our minds, must need to relax. Our minds, must need calm.
Most of this information sometimes even makes the disease. Especially if we don't give the duration of the game, or we don't have any focus when using it, there's nothing, other than scrolling, and looking at people's statuses.
But if I'm honest, I'm also one of those people who work like that. Scroll this and that. I'm still learning slowly from the scroll, I just got at least 1 that I caught and pondered. Just 1 first, that's enough.
Seeing people mostly makes us lose focus even more. Moreover, human nature is greedy and quick to want. So that's where the unhealthy thoughts come from. And the fact proves that unhealthy thoughts are the beginning of all diseases.
Why this information diet is necessary is because it is based on personal experience.
There have been times when I used to try a little bit of fasting on social media or a bit of fasting playing this cellphone. Fasting from crowds of people. Fasting from the eve of wanting to make status and so on.
A pretty impressive experiment experience. Subconsciously, the mind is calmer. The soul is calmer. The mind knows where it is going.
Silent life sometimes is not a bad thing. Sometimes it's not wrong if you don't know the latest information updates. Not what most people are talking about. Don't watch what other people watch. Don't hear what other people hear.
We don't change, we're still human. We don't turn stupid right away if we don't know just one piece of information, do we? It's okay to have a curfew once in a while, because sometimes we don't have enough time to digest all the information. After all, to be smart we don't have to know everything.
One principle that is held until now is that anything in excess is not good. Whatever that is. We need a balance point.
Selectively this information will influence a person. Because what we see is actually a reflection of ourselves.
Whatever a person puts into his mind, whether consciously or not, is something that will shape a change in oneself.
I once read one of his books, Think and Grow Rich, which discussed that we are the formation of our two minds. The conscious mind and the unconscious mind. In short, the difference between the conscious and unconscious mind lies in how the two systems work.
If in the conscious mind, the brain works consciously to receive information. This brain can filter all what he will receive. For example, when you are studying. Whatever we put in our mind, we are all aware, yes, our eyes are aware of what we are receiving, our ears are aware of what we are hearing, and all other body parts are also aware of what we are receiving.
Meanwhile, if the mind is not aware, the system works, it is not aware. This unconscious mind does not have the ability to filter what it receives, so it must accept everything that comes in. And of course, when the information is entered, we are also not aware of what has been entered.
An easy example is never singing because someone else has sung and we repeat the same song. In fact, we don't realize what song information we enter, do we? But instead we sing the same song.
Okay, let's go back to the discussion of diet information. Why am I a little connected to this conscious and unconscious mind? because I think with the idea of a diet this information relates to a person's conscious and unconscious mind. Diet information will maximize our conscious and unconscious mind more focused. The information diet makes us only see what we should see and this will have an impact on both our conscious and unconscious minds.
