Electric cars are an environmentally friendly vehicle solution. Unfortunately, four-wheeled vehicles that do not emit emissions have not been widely sold in Indonesia.

1. BYD e6

BYD (Build Your Dream) is an automotive company from China that also produces electric cars. One of them is the BYD e6, an MPV with a capacity of five passengers.
The BYD e6 uses an electric engine capable of producing 120 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 nm. When the battery is fully charged, this car is capable of running as far as 300 kilometers with a maximum speed of 140 km/hour.
For the problem of recharging the battery, you don't need to worry, the BYD e6 has a fast charging facility , within 15 minutes this car can be charged from 0-80%.
In Indonesia , BYD e6 is one of the Bluebird taxi fleets. Globally, the most expensive type is sold at a price of 80,000 Yuan or around
Rp. 158 million.
2. Mitsubishi i-Miev
i-MiEV is an electric car specifically for urban areas or city car, has been produced since 2009
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV uses an electric engine that produces 63 horsepower and 180 nm of torque, powered by a 16 kWh battery.
This car is capable of running as far as 160 kilometers. Through the fast charging mechanism , this car battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 15 minutes.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is sold in Japan at a price of 2 million yen or around Rp. 260 million. In Europe, this car is sold under the names Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero.
3. DFSK E3
In addition to the Nissan Leaf, the Indonesian electric car market will be enlivened by a car product from China, the DFSK E3. Previously, this car was introduced to the Indonesian public during the GIIAS 2019 and IEMS 2019 events.
The DFSK E3 uses a 160 horsepower electric engine with a torque of 300 Nm, is driven by a 53 kWh battery and is capable of running as far as 405 km on a full battery. The DFSK E3 battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 30 minutes with fast charging facilities .
Currently, the price of the DFSK E3 has not been officially announced in Indonesia. However, if you refer to the country of origin, China, this car is sold at a price of Rp. 300 million.
4. Renault Zoe
French car manufacturer Renault has produced the Zoe since 2012. This compact-sized car is intended for consumers in urban areas or often referred to as a city car .
The Renault Zoe uses an electric motor with a capacity of 80 kilowatts that produces 107 horsepower and 225 nm of torque.
This electric motor is driven by a lithium-ion battery measuring 41kW-h which can run as far as 400 kilometers. With a quick charging system , the Renault Zoe battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 65 minutes.
In Europe, the Renault Zoe is sold starting at 23,900 euros or around Rp. 372 million.
5. Volkswagen E-UP!
German car manufacturer , Volkswagen produces an electric city car ( citycar ) under the name E-UP!. This car was introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10, 2019.
This car uses an electric engine-powered 82 horsepower with a maximum speed of 130 km / h, uses a battery capacity of 32 kWh and can run as far as 260 kilometers. The battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 60 minutes using the fast charging facility .
Volkswagen E-UP! sold in Europe at a price of around Rp. 342 million.
6. Nissan Leaf
Nissan Leaf is an electric car that has been produced since 2010. This car has entered the second generation and is in the form of a hatchback .
This car carries a 148 horsepower electric engine with a torque of 320 nm, driven by a 40 kWh lithium ion electric battery. In full battery condition, this car is able to go as far as 243 km. This car battery can be charged from 0-80% within 30 minutes.
This car is one of the best-selling electric cars in the world with sales reaching 303,678 units by 2017. Nissan Indonesia is also planning to sell this car in 2020. In the global market, Nissan Leaf is sold with prices starting from Rp. 421 million.
