Is Your Android Lost? Here's How to Track It

In today's digital era, it feels like a day is not possible to travel without a smartphone. Plus when you lose your phone it can be very frustrating.

Some people have lost their cell phone dead and couldn't find it.

Maybe you also experience this and just give up. Fortunately, as technology develops, you can now track the whereabouts of your smartphone even when it's turned off. How to? Follow these tips to find your phone!

Track by IMEI number

First, try to track the phone by using the IMEI number. All you need to do is make a call to dial *#06# to find out the IMEI number.

Then, install the IMEI tracker application and activate sound notifications so that when the phone is turned on, Google Location starts tracking the whereabouts of the phone and the smartphone will ring when contacted. We recommend calling the number when it is near so that the 'carrier' of your cellphone does not suspect.

Use Google Maps

If you don't know the IMEI number before the smartphone is lost, try this second step. However, this method will only work if you have activated the Location History feature before the phone is lost.

So, all you need to do is use the above features on Google Maps. Because usually smartphones already synergize with email, so all information will be recorded in Google Maps.

The Location History feature itself is a Google feature that can tell someone's last position when their smartphone is connected to an internet connection.

Make sure before you lose your phone, give Location History access permission on your phone!

Via device manager

You can also track a lost cell phone that is turned off through the Android Device Manager. The first step is to visit the official website here . Register and register your Gmail account, then select 'Find my device'.

Automatically, when your phone is on, you can know the position of the phone. Do this repeatedly until the device provides a more detailed location.

There is so much important data that other people can find on your phone, so always be careful not to lose your phone easily. You also need broad insight into the digital world so you don't miss useful information for your gadget .
